We build companies. We back founders. We build with people who see something others don’t.
Storyworlding is a venture firm built around a simple premise:
Interesting companies often begin before anyone calls them companies.
- Someone working inside an industry notices an inefficiency.
- A business owner sees customers asking for something that does not exist.
- An investor develops conviction around a market but needs a team capable of turning the thesis into a company.
- A technologist realizes that something previously impossible has suddenly become possible.
- An operator sees an opportunity every day that outsiders would never know to look for.
We want to meet those people.
Storyworlding combines their insight with our ability to research, validate, design, build, launch, and grow new companies.
- Sometimes we originate the idea.
- Sometimes someone brings the opportunity to us.
- Sometimes we invest in a company already underway.
The common denominator is conviction strong enough to investigate.
Three ways we work
- 01
We create companies.
We identify structural changes, unmet needs, and overlooked opportunities, then research and test whether a company should exist around them.
When the evidence is strong enough, we build.
- 02
We build with partners.
Someone brings an insight, opportunity, market, network, asset, or thesis.
They may be an investor, operator, business owner, industry expert, creator, technologist, or potential founder.
Storyworlding provides the venture-building infrastructure around the opportunity.
- 03
We invest.
We selectively back companies and founders working in areas where we have developed conviction.
Sometimes we discover the market first.
Sometimes the founder teaches us something we had not yet understood.
What gets our attention
- A new capability changes what is possible.
- People begin behaving differently before institutions catch up.
- Someone creates value but captures surprisingly little of it.
- Software makes an old intermediary less necessary.
- An existing system no longer fits the people using it.
- Someone close to a market sees something outsiders consistently miss.
- A new world begins to form around a technology or behavior.
We invest in transitions, not merely industries.
What we invest
- Time
- We go deep enough to understand why something works the way it does.
- Attention
- We follow weak signals, strange edges, and questions that may not yet belong to a recognized category.
- Capability
- We can research, position, prototype, design, build, and launch.
- Network
- We bring together the people whose knowledge, access, or operating ability can strengthen the venture.
- Capital
- When conviction develops, we can put economic resources behind it.
We do not think of these as separate forms of investment. They reinforce one another.

- 06Partner with usBring us something you have noticed.
See something?
You do not need to arrive with a startup.
- You may have spent ten years inside an industry and noticed something everyone else has accepted.
- You may be an investor with conviction around a market.
- You may own a business and see an adjacent opportunity.
- You may have distribution, proprietary access, technical capability, or unusual knowledge.
- Or you may simply keep encountering a problem that should have been solved by now.
Bring us the observation.
We can find out whether there is a company inside it.
